GAGp/IgG1
Secondary Antibodies
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunit of subclass IgG1. It does not react with other IgG2, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in guinea pig serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG1 in guinea pig serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of guinea pig IgG1 from serum or plasma.
Pools of purified normal IgG1 isolated from pooled guinea pig serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized whole antiserum. No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal goat serum. No foreign proteins added.

This IgG fraction is not species-specific since inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antisera to immunoglobulins. Cross-reactivity of this product has not been tested in detail.
Precipitating polyclonal Goat antiSerum to Guinea Pig IgG1, subclass specific
Veterinary
Immunoprecipitation
Immunoprecipitation. In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 μl or equivalent against 120 μl antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 μl antiserum in a 3 mm diameter centre well and 2 μl serum samples (neat and diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells. Precipitin titre not less then 1:16 when tested against pooled normal guinea pig serum in agar block immunodiffusion titration.
The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C; prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. Lyophilized at +4° C--at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20° C--3-5 years. Reconstituted at +4° C--7 days

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Guinea pig ELISA kits for plasma and sera samples are used to study human genes through the guinea pig model (Cavia porcellus), also called the cavy rodent model. After mouzes and rats Guinea pigs are easy in maintained laboratory animals. cDNAs of Guinea pigs are also very popular.
Capra aegagrus hircus
Immunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures.Pigs and the smaller guinea pigs are frequent used as models for humans.
