Species reactivity

Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. The degree of cross-reactivity depends in addition to the phylogenetic relationship also on the con

Specificity and cross-reactivity

Biotin-conjugated IgG fraction of polyclonal Rabbit antiSerum to pigeon IgG, heavy and light chains. he reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc and Fab subunits of the IgG molecule. It includes a certain degree of reactivity with other immunoglobulins via the common F ab portion. II does not react with any non-Ig protein in pigeon serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immuno-diffusion.

Purification method

Hyperimmune antisera with sirong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation by salt-precipitation and purification of the IgG fraction by DEAE-chromalography.

Form/Appearance

Biotin-coupled purified hyperimmune rabbit IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2).

Storage and shipping

Handling: The lyophilized conjugate is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius.; prolonged storage at or below Store productone at -20 degrees Celsius.. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below Store productone at -20 degrees Celsius.. Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly in the dark at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius., not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the immunoconjugate. Storage I shelf life: lyophilized at +Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius. = at least 10 years reconstituted at or below Store productone at -20 degrees Celsius. =3-5 years reconstituted at +Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius.=7 days Caution: This immunoconjugate should be handled by qualified persons only and appropriate precautions should be taken in its handling and disposal, and of all associated materials. For in vitro laboratory research purposes only

Tested for:

ELISA (EIA), Immunocytochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Dot Blot (DB), Immunoblotting (IB)

Description

productone is a polyclonal antibody of high purity and binding affinity for the antigen that it is risen against. Properly used, this antibody will ensure excellent and reproducible results with guaranteed success for the applications that it is tested in. Polyclonal antibodies have series of advantages - larger batches can be supplied at a time, they are inexpensive to manufacture and respectively to buy, the time needed for production is considerably shorter. Polyclonal antibodies generally are more stable and retain their reactivity under unfavorable conditions. To obtain more detailed information on productone, please, refer to the full product datasheet.

Advisory

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

Additional description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Properties

Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.

Biotinylated

About

Immunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures.Pigeons and doves are used for research and MBS Polyclonals supplies many Pigeon specific ELISA test kits.
